Transponders

This project is accompanied by an open-source transponder project as well.

You can manufacture them at JLCPCB, a popular Chinese fabhouse. 5 panels (40 pcs tranponders) cost me $200, including taxes and shipping to EU (2026 May). The fabhouse produces the PCB and assembles with components - you have to program the ATTiny, solder the wires and deal with the mechanical protection.

Known sellers

Being an open source project, anyone can sell them. AFAIK no one is doing that yet.

For a small amounts, ask around at rctech forum. If you need larger quantities, go to JLCPCB.

If you have spares to sell, ping me or send a PR with your details. Most people want a single panel and aren't quite willing to place a $200 MOQ order, let alone learn how to program these embedded devices. Serving your community this way would give this project a great kickstart. Thanks!
